Greetings,
I am Alisha Kelley a licensed clinical Social Worker who is originally from Oregon and resides in Georgia. I am a therapist, consultant, author and public speaker.
I am a Black woman who is a wife, mother, AKA member, social justice advocate, and more. Being genuine is important to me. I like forming relationships where I can freely share my thoughts, act consistently, connect through openness, and accept the mix of emotions that come with curiosity and uncertainty. As a therapist, I aim to be authentic. I acknowledge my own flaws, value self-care, adapt expectations to fit changing needs, and establish boundaries to show love to myself and others. It matters to me to help individuals embrace their completeness.
I highly value relationships, including the therapeutic ones with my clients. I use my skills and presence to establish trust, create a safe environment, and encourage deep thinking. Let's explore together, ask questions, and focus solely on you. I am excited to delve into your experiences! It is crucial to me that people feel completely themselves when they are with me. Your identities, emotions, and story are significant!

Real, Relatable and Responsive Therapy
Decolonlizing mental healthcare
Decolonizing therapy helps us heal from the harmful impact of colonization, imperialism, state violence, and systemic oppression. It focuses on our own family, cultural, and ancestral wisdom, experiences, knowledge, and strengths. It reminds us that we don't need permission to heal. We all have internal solutions for healing, growth, and change, even when we face problems. Therapy is one pathway to healing, but there are also other ways to grow, change, and feel liberated.
My approach
Seek Understanding- Your truth is your truth it is not for me as your therapist to decided if you truth is accurate but to validate your experience and seek understand of it all.
Provide a Liberating space - As adults we get to choose how we show up in this world and everyone is unique in that. My goal is to provide a space where you can display your uniqueness and be open to evolving.
Reframe- My mission is to provide a unbiased, none judgmental point of view that may help you figure out
Model the behavior- listening, responding, asking clarify questions and setting boundaries
Affirming- I want you know all parts of you are welcomed and accepted. Your anger, rage, tears, sadness, pain, confusion, silence are all welcomed. To be seen, witnessed, and believed is transformational and healing, especially for those who have not had this experience prior.
